I just read this entry a while back and it brought me to tears as I thought of the many years my central, my focus, has been on the dear Guatemalans that I come in contact with. The time span from June to June never goes quickly enough...my heart yearns to be with them, to experience their daily struggles with them. You see, God has taught me so much through the life of a missionary...some of my closest friends. Experiencing life with them has added to my life and has given me an understanding of their culture, and through that, has benefitted my life. God is shaping me, using me to serve Him. I need only to center myself, on His promises to me, and in His Word. No,, He is not finished with me yet, and students joining me for 2013, be prepared for your eyes to be opened to His will for you. My biggest desire, is to see God become greater, and for us to become lesser. It's all about Him. I Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in ALL circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Awareness of needing Him is our greatest strength
. “You need Me every moment. Your awareness of your constant need for Me is your greatest strength. Your neediness, properly handled, is a link to My Presence. However, there are pitfalls that you must be on guard against: self-pity, self-preoccupation, giving up. Your inadequacy presents you with a continual choice – deep dependence on Me, or despair. The emptiness you feel within will be filled either with problems or with My Presence. Make Me central in your conciousness by praying continually: simple, short prayers flowing out of the present moment. Use My Name liberally, to remind you of My Presence. Keep on asking and you will receive, so that your gladness may be full and complete.” ~ Sarah Young, Jesus Calling, p. 55.
