Feliz cumpleaños Rick! Today we were thrilled to celebrate a birthday in our group, our co-leader Rick Bagley turned 70 today. So a milestone birthday as well. During our break time, we were able to celebrate by singing happy birthday in Spanish, and have a piece of cake. Some of our teachers even joined in on the fun.
It is hard to believe that our language school week is almost over! We hope to go to the coffee plantation, La Azotea, this afternoon for our excursion. Plans are already underway for our beach excursion on Saturday.
Be in prayer for my friend Hilmar, where we had hoped to visit this week. He broke his leg and moving around on crutches in his hilly community is difficult. He has a cast that goes up past his knee. We hope to see him yet next week, perhaps on Monday before the rest of our team arrives. Thinking of you Steve Gann, Todd Griffin, Skyler Griffin, Monica Rivera, Antonia Sarria, Karianne Aukeman, Blake Rocha, and Chandler Mainord as you prepare for traveling on Monday, June 10.
