Ready to worship!

Thursday and Friday were amazing days at the ministry sites. I saw your kids being used on home visits, using their construction abilities (Mr. Gann), giving their testimonies, and playing with the children. God is amazing. The most amazing thing about this year by far has been the way our team has bonded, shared, cried, and been a light to the others on our team. Each night we have had team time, a time where Megan Borges has so willingly and capably played her guitar for us as we sing out of our songbook we made. Her gentle spirit and sweet smile have helped us to focus not only on ourselves, but on WORSHIP. I am so grateful for her on our team. We had kids give their testimonies  and  share with the team. We have heard from so many already, through tears, as they shared as well how much this mission trip has already affected them. Blake Rocha has really been a leader in expressing himself not on,ly during team times, but also in our morning devotions. So many hugs, and so much support for each other.mvi am in awe as a leader, really. Kylee Rogers has been to our team times in the evening and had given of her time to join with us in our worship, and shared her perspective and testimony to what brought her back as summer staff after all these years. She shared how the trip changed her life and her perspective. She shared about CVC, and her being a part of the school there was a new experience for her, and her expectations were bigger than anticipated. When she came to Guatemala, those 2 years, it helped her to ground herself. God is faithful. I am so proud her being here, she fills me with so much joy, knowing that a seed was planted so many years ago. Not always do we see what happens with the growth of that seed, but I am filled with joy, that I can see and hear her
Friday was spent in the art site and we went for 2 home visits. Josefina is a woman who just lost her father and had a funeral and then came home to her husband who had committed suicide.she was obviously torn apart and was crying. I was alone with Telma Lopez, and there was hugging,, prayers and love in that tiny little place. After hearing a testimony by one of my students at the art site, we went for another home visit and were able to make tortillas with a woman named Albertina. After that, she shared with us a bit about her pain she is having in her back and hands. Such an amazing visit!
Saturday we were able to go to Puerto San Jose for an excursion and enjoy the black sand beach once again. The waves were perfect, and the other team even was able to baptize two of their students in the ocean. It was amazing! All of us are a little sun kissed after a day in the warm waves! This morning, before we left, Kylee led devotions, with an amazing talk on getting our priorities straight. It's easy to do that here, but when we go home, we need to keep that focus, and keep Him number one, and not allow technology, media, or other things get in the way and take up more time than we need to be spending on it..such as Facebook and twitter or even Instagram. Sooo good!
After our day, we went back to Antigua for a McDonalds meal, seriously, the NICEST McDonalds you will ever see! Tomorrow after church we get to go into Antigua and go to the market. YAY!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all you Dads tomorrow, we are so excited to celebrate with our host Dads and look forward to church in the morning. We  are going to sing the song " Something New"  for the service, while Megan plays! We love and miss you all!
