Today was a great day of worship in Pastor Mario's church. It got a little long- 3 hours long. We sang and praised a lot in song...in Spanish. Now I can appreciate that to some degree since I can understand it, however, the students, not as much. Our two combined groups went forward to sing two songs in English I front of the church wile Megan Borges played the guitar.
In our church orientation, we foresaw the length and not understanding it all, that the kids might just take that time to journal or read their Bibles. Sra. B translated the sermon while we listened, or journaled. As one in the Kingsburg group said, it was so humbling seeing the women one pr even the men sit and paise God with tears in their eyes, some their tears were running down their cheeks. God is great, even here. We are seeing God through those that live here.
Today is Fathers Day! We wanted to extend our love to our Dads at home. Some wer able to call home today, others FaceTimed, but all of the students wrote a brief note to their Dads that we wanted to make sure got sent out on the blog. So here they are:

Our afternoon was spent at the community center for lunch together and the afternoon was free to rest or relax. In the evening, we all had Dominos pizza! Wow! It was great! We had team time tonight with a bit more sharing and some game time.
We had an issue with too much cell phone use and the password leaked out among the temp am members so we needed to collect the phones from the students for the remainder of the trip. Parents. Be assured that the media team is updating with photos as well as the blog is posted on line and updated frequently.
