Centro Linguistico Maya Día 3

"Si Dios está conmigo, Quien contra mi?" If God is with me, who can be against me?  These were the words spoken to me this  morning as I visited with Doña Elvira, the woman I lived with last summer when I was here. As I sat with her, I thought about our teams over the years and how we have no worries when we know we are in Jesus arms and in the center of His will for us. Times change, people change, and even plans change as we are here.
Yesterday we visited San Juan del Obispo, the oldest Catholic Church in Antigua. We were not allowed to enter the actual cathedral, but saw it through  the museum there that also showed the residence of the first catholic priest  from the late 1400's. We took a few photos in front of the church nearby. We had planned to visit a macadamia nut farm, but were unable to due to the heavy rain in the afternoon. It is in the plans to visit there on Thursday.
Language school is going well and the teachers are challenging your kids. I have been watching them do their homework, I have assisted them in their homework and have heard them practice their Spanish with each other. Love this about language school, seeing my kids challenged, but using the language.
This afternoon after classes we went to exchange money at the bank and then went home for another delicious meal! For breakfast, we had French toast, for lunch it was homemade hamburgers and fries, for dinner we had chiles rellenos with rice and lemonade. We all are so grateful for the meals and the wonderful home God has supplied us with.
This evening we went to a local juice bar after we got back for the market and had wonderful drinks. We saw a small Guatemala parade which was very fun to see. Has been pouring rain with thunder and lighting it is great to see it since it has been a while in California. All the kids want to bring a lot home with them. We had the wonderful chance to learn the salsa tonight. It was great to see the group dancing, laughing and just hanging out with each other. It's great to see God in the their lives and work wonders being them all together. Megan is getting ready to play for our team time for the next
two weeks and the kids are singing along side her which is a such a heart warmer.
