Centro Linguistico Maya Día Dos

Laughter and noises came from outside my room after dinner last night from your kids playing games and enjoying the "together time" of being here. There were those that had homework to do, asking me all kinds of  questions about verb usage and vocabulary, but it was SO great to see them enjoying each other and having fun as well. After a while, I joined them and we laughed and I could go to bed knowing that all the kids were ok and in bed, ready for day two of language school.

When we awoke, we were able to have a brief devotional time together and share some ways we can reflect Christ's love while in Antigua, specifically. We talked about selfies and about worship not attracting attention to us, but ONLY to Him. We are a remnant of Christ and desire to "bleed" our devotion to Him to others here. ❤️

I hope you were able to view some of the pictures on Facebook of your kids in action! Join the page if you have not already. When in Facebook, type in Guatemala 2015 and you should see it. :) my personal page is Connie Weeda Branderhorst if you aren't able to find the page.

After classes this morning,  and then lunch, we plan on going to a Macadamia Nut Farm. We were there a few years ago as well, it should be nice for the kids.
It rained yesterday in the afternoon, but only for a half hour. Today the sun is strong and it will likely rain again early afternoon. We still managed to get to the market yesterday and find some good deals. Your kids were bargaining (this is expected in Guatemala) and were very proud of their skills at it! Every year I'm impressed at the way they use their persuasion to get what they want. The vendors in the market are always kind and say they have a "good deal for you today" but still manage to meet us halfway when we give them a reasonable offer. Oh the joys....

Greetings to you parents at home and blessings from sunny Guatemala- atleast on the morning! :)
