God's got this! Anticipation, changes, and it's all in God's hands.

Sometimes when things don't go as planned..that's when He needs us to REST in His almighty hands. Purpose. It has been a question mulling in my head for weeks now. I am so thankful that God carries us in this life..and that when we think He is so far away, He is right there with us, strengthening, us, refining us. This past week has had it's disappointments, and made me insecure, uncertain, and SAD.Two of my good friends who were not only friends, teaching colleagues, Guatemala co-leaders, were  told they weren't returning to CVC as staff for next year. My heart aches for them AND  the thought of CVC without them. Love and hugs to you godly women who have helped me to mentor, guide and serve the Guatemala team. Budget cuts don't make me happy. declining enrollment doesn't make me happy. My job has taken a new definition this school year, and will again in the year to come.  So, roll with the punches, change happens. get over it. I know. A dear friend  of mine from Guatemala shared this verse with her sister, and it means so much to me. It is from Psalm 37:4. "Delight yourself in The Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Lisa and Jennifer, take heart in that verse too. Love you like no other and THIS will not change our friendship. God's got this.
As this new team emerges and is formed, I am encouraged by the team member who sends me Bible verses each day, the one who sends a support letter asking to support 4 children for a year, roughly what it would cost to pay for on kid to go on this mission trip, and I know that God has a plan for this team, and I am so excited to see how God binds us and molds us as a team! This is the life! Guatemala, the people there, the youth that join me, each worksite, language school, each staff member, La Pinada and Hilmar Ávila, Yahaira and Andrick (who my students help to support So faithfully), and the communities of Magdalena and El Gorrion, each coleader, past and present...and EXCITING news! A former Guatemala team member now returning to intern with Students International, all of this make my heart smile! Be blessed to be a blessing. God's got this!
