Reflections of the greatness of God

How do I possibly send this as my last entry for this years trip? Guatemala 2013 was by far the greatest team to have with me. I saw kids serving, sharing testimonies, in tears often -which is not a bad thing, their hearts were overflowing with love for each other, for their leaders, for the people in Magdalena and El Gorrion, and were truly thankful for the opportunity to serve Him in the beautiful country of Guatemala. Words cannot express how special it was to see a former student and Guatemala participant, Kylee Rogers,  serving alongside of us in Magdalena. Her personal skills, her sweet smile and loving heart, her translation abilities, and qualities of being like a daughter to me, were amazing! Kylee, you amaze me and I am so thankful for the seed planted years ago to get you to return to this beautiful place that means so much to me. On that note, I also feel like God has blessed me by bringing me back for the 8th time to join with my Guatemalan family, The Mendez'. I always have loved every second of every day spent there, and never want to become too comfortable to not notice the work that God is doing amongst my students. I am so proud of each one of them and their willingness to take initiative in their individual worksites. This year, especially, I received so many compliments about your kids, it is unbelievable! Our new sports site was a huge success with Marco Canahui as the leader and Blake Rocha kicking it off, literally, on the very first sports site team EVER! I have so much more I need to write about your kids and am so greatful for your entrusting me with them, you should be proud. I hope you hal had the opportunity to see the video put out on our team by the media site, with our own Taylor Boyle, Etyhan Boyle and Ruby Koetsier. What an amazing picture of our work done there! It can be found on vimeo, I believe that Tom Koesier shared it on facebook as well. Please take a look at it. Again, thankyou. It is beittersweet to be home, but very glad  everyone is home and safe!      Blessings!
